Michael Buchan has 11 years of accounting experience, and began his career with The Dales Group. He moved to SBP seven years ago as an accounts assistant and has since advanced to his current managerial role.
Sheila trained with a local firm of chartered accountants and qualified as a CA in 1985 before moving to KPMG Thomson McLintock to broaden her experience. She joined Andrew Philip in 1998 and became a manager in 2009. Since the merger with SBP in March 2015, she continued as client principal. She is involved in looking after a mixed portfolio of clients and deals with accounts production, tax and audit. Sheila’s main interests are walking and aqua classes at the gym. She also enjoys learning foreign languages.
Gordon trained and qualified in London, where he worked for various Chartered Accountant practices on clients diversified in both size and nature. He came back to Scotland and joined Andrew Philip in 2008, and was appointed as a manager in 2009. Since the merger with SBP in March 2015, he has continued as a client principal. He is a follower of the Heart of Midlothian FC while his other interests include gardening and model railways.
Maureen MacDonald has more than 30 years of accountancy experience, training and beginning her career with HM Revenue and Customs, where she specialised in taxation. She started work with SBP in 2010, and specialises in tax advice and returns. In her spare time, Maureen likes running, walking and horse riding. In 2015 she completed the Lochness Marathon for charity.
Michael started his career working for 17 years in various sections of the service side of the fishing industry. In 2006 he decided to change career paths and joined SBP as a trainee accountant and is now a client principal. Michael qualified in 2008 as an ACCA. Born and bred in Fraserburgh, Michale is active within the local community, and became the finance convener for Fraserburgh Harbour in 2015. He is also presently the chairman of Kessock Park, Fraserburgh’s local all-weather pitch. He also competes across Scotland at Masters swimming, and started a new swimming team in 2015 called the Banff and Buchan Masters, where he holds the role of chairman.
Lynn has worked with SBP since 2004 and has an in-depth understanding of local businesses and local issues. She provides accountancy and taxation services for sole traders, partnership and Limited Companies. Lynn and her team work closely with clients to provide a range of services tailored to meet the needs of the individual business. Outside of work, Lynn is a leader in a local Girl Guiding group supporting young people to develop their potential. She is also a keen walker with the aim of walking one (or more) of the national long distance routes.
